As the CW's veteran show The Vampire Diaries approaches its series finale, the old faces are returning one by one for the very last time. After Nina Dobrev and Chris Wood had been confirmed to return to the show for the grand sendoff, we were all speculating who is going to return next? It seems like Steve R. McQueen who portrayed the on-screen brother of Nina Dobrev in "TVD" is going to reprise his role as Jeremy. Steve recently uploaded a photo on the sets of The Vampire Diaries to his Instagram account with the quote "Saying hi to some old friends, favorite” and we cannot be any happier to see one of our favorite characters reuniting with the cast of The Vampire Diaries for the big family reunion.

Steve r. McQueen played the character of Jeremy Gilbert throughout the sixth season of the show, and we have not seen him in his role since. And the TVD fandom is going crazy after the photo of Steve surfaced on the internet standing next to a medical van with the Mystic Falls within the frame. The co-creator of The Vampire Diaries Kevin Williamson has also returned to the show in addition to some other TVD stars like Nina Dobrev, Kayla Ewell, Michael Trevino and David Anders. It has also been confirmed that Chris Wood, the handsome hunk who is currently playing the character of Mon-El in another CW show Supergirl will also be reprising his role as Kai for the season finale.

The Vampire Diaries has always been a major hit for the CW, and the CW President Mark Pedowitz was all praise for this veteran series and its large fandom when asked about it. In the words of Kevin Williamson, The Vampire Diaries is all about family and all the cast members are like family to each other off the screen also, and that is what made the show so much endearing to the viewers for the last eight years. Well, no matter what the reason may be for the grand success of the TVD. To us fans, it is becoming very hard to bid farewell to the show that we all have loved throughout the years.

But it is a consolation that we will get to see all the old faces together for the very last time in the series finale of the show and from everything that is happening on the set of The Vampire diaries, we can surely say that the finale is going to be “One hell of a family reunion”.
