Contrary to reports that claimed the first trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story would be released during the Super Bowl, we'll get our first look of the movie on Monday, February 5. The trailer will be shown exclusively on Good Morning America before being unleashed online.

The Han Solo movie has had a difficult time getting to the big screen. Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were fired from the production with just weeks left before filming wrapped. Veteran filmmaker Ron Howard was drafted in to complete the movie, but it remains unclear how extensive the reshoots were or how much of Lord and Miller's work will be in the finished film.

Late last year the duo opened up a bit (or as much as their contracts allow) about their exit;

"I think in terms of us leaving the project, I think everybody went in with really good intentions and our approach to making the movie was different than theirs. That was a really big gap to bridge, and it proved to be too big. Sometimes people break up, and it’s really sad, and it’s really disappointing, but it happens and we learned a lot from our collaborators and we’re better filmmakers for it. We’re really proud of the work we did on the movie and we wish everybody the best.”

While it's gutting that Lord and Miller didn't get to bring Solo over the line, they have no shortage of projects in development with The Lego Movie 2, an adaptation of Andy Weir’s (The Martian) new bestseller Artemis, and an animated Spider-Man series with Miles Morales donning the suit. Starring Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Paul Bettany, Solo: A Star Wars Story is released on May 25.
