Imelda Staunton prepares to take to the West End stage once again from Feb 22, 2017. Imelda has proven she has the chops to sing and dance her way in award winning shows and now she joins another iconic production. Having wowed audiences in Gypsy and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street she now joins Conleth Hill aka Lord Varys from Game of Thrones in the unforgettable tale of Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf, a classic by the recently deceased Edward Albee. This will be the first production of the play since Albee's death and will be directed by James Macdonald.

In the early hours of the morning on the campus of an American college, Martha, much to her husband George’s displeasure, has invited the new professor Nick and his wife Honey to their home for some after-party drinks. As the alcohol flows and dawn approaches, the young couple are drawn into George and Martha’s toxic games until the evening reaches its climax in a moment of devastating truth-telling.
