Jessica Lange Will Be Back For American Horror Story Apocalypse
The following article contains spoilers for American Horror Story Murder House and Coven.
American Horror Story fans have finally got their wish as Jessica Lange is returning to FX's anthology series for long-awaited crossover season, Apocalypse. Lange starred in the first four seasons of the hit anthology series and bagged a plethora of awards and nominations for her formidable performances.
During a recent Television Critics Association press event for the forthcoming season, AHS regular Sarah Paulson was asked if Lange would be making an appearance and replied: "I have the great pleasure of saying, yes, she will be back." AHS co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed earlier this year that characters from the first season (Murder House) and the third run (Coven) would come face to face in a crossover of apocalyptic proportions. Paulson also confirmed that Lange would be reprising her role as Constance Langdon (Murder House), who was babysitting the demonic offspring off her departed neighbors when we last saw her.
Paulson will also make her directorial debut with the sixth episode of Apocalypse which is reported to be the installment that Lange will guest star. It remains unclear if Lange only appears in the one episode, while it would be a shame if that's all we get the key take-home here is that she's coming back.
If you were concerned that Ryan Murphy's massive deal with Netflix meant curtains for AHS, FX recently renewed the series for a tenth season, so there's plenty more weirdness to come. Seasons one to six of American Horror Story are available on Netflix now with season seven (Cult) due next month.
Also starring Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Emma Roberts, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, and the legendary Joan Collins, American Horror Story Apocalypse returns to FX in September.
