Indie Games Coming In 2017
2017 has some great games coming out across all platforms. Plenty of these are AAA releases from big name developers and publishers like Resident Evil 7 from Capcom and Mass Effect: Andromeda by Bioware. However, there is a slew of great indie releases coming out in 2017 as well. Here are a few.
Conan Exiles opens in Early Access on the 31st January and is a brutal open-world survival game set in the Conan universe. Players take the role of an exile who has been sentenced to live in the barbaric wasteland. Taking place on in an online persistent world where players strive to survive and dominate their enemies. Like many survival games players will start with nothing and gradually grow in strength and ability.
Outlast 2 is the follow-up to the hugely successful Outlast 1. Outlast 2 is a survival horror game set in on a farm and set to be just as terrifying as the original game. Meant to be a graphical improvement over the original, but with all the survival horror we loved from the first game. There isn’t a set released date yet for Outlast 2, but it is still due to be released in 2017. There is a one of kind thrill that comes from playing survival horror games.
Coming in 2017, Cuphead is due for release on PC and Xbox One. It was originally revealed in 2016s E3 and quickly became an anticipated indie game. The game's graphics are something we haven’t seen before. Set to look like a 1930s cartoon like classic Mickey Mouse. The game has a heavy focus on boss battles with hand drawn graphics. It doesn’t have a set release date yet, but is due to be released some time in 2017. Cuphead and Mugman have rolled the dice and lost to the Devil and must now repay that debt by doing his bidding throughout the game. If you want to get the same thrill Cuphead and Mugman must have had when they gambled with the devil, but without needing to lose your soul in the process then Lucky Nugget Casino have a range of excellent online casino games such as these.
The original Nidhogg is one of the best couch co-op games on any platform. It has the rare quality that it requires very little explaining and has nearly endless replayability. Nidhogg 2 has everything the first game had, but is adding even more. It has the same super tight combat, smooth animations and is one of the most anticipated indie games of the year.
