Fans of Doctor Who spin-off Class have been in limbo over the future of the series since the first season finale late last year. Created by Patrick Ness, Class charts the weird goings on at Coal Hill Academy in a show aimed at the young adult market. Despite amassing a loyal following, it appears as those Class season two is unlikely to transpire.

In a series of Tweets from Patrick Ness, the writer/producer revealed that he wouldn't be returning for more episodes should Class be renewed, but he doesn't seem overly optimistic about the future of the series.

While the first run of Class was a tad patchy in places, it was a fun spin-off that showed a lot of promise, and even though Patrick Ness won't be returning, I do hope that Class won't expelled from our screens.
