Here we are again. At the crossroads where magic and friendship are key to survival. It's the franchise that took the world by storm as both books and films and now, Harry Potter is ready to take to the stage in the heart of London with a new adventure. However, this time, our heroes are all grown up.
With the show ready to kick-start the franchise, new character portraits have been made available and the casting choices although not in keeping with the books or films, are fierce and really gives Harry Potter and the Cursed Child a fierce and impactful first impression.
It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
Previews for Part One of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will begin on 7 June with previews of Part Two starting 9 June 2016. The Official Opening performances of Part One and Part Two will take place on Saturday 30 July 2016.
