For the next installment in the popular Battlefield video game series, developer EA DICE shook things up by going back in time, setting-wise. Instead of being set sometime in the future, like most military-based shooter games nowadays, the next game in the series – titled ‘Battlefield 1’ – will be set during the First World War.
The game will be available for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 and is set for release later this year on October 21. As per the norm in today’s industry, Battlefield 1 will be released in various bundles, one of which is the Collector’s Edition sold exclusively on Amazon.
The content of the bundle (pictured above) includes the following:
All of which are rolled into a Premium packaging, plastered with a $129.99 price tag somewhere on the sides. Amazon Prime members, of course, will be able to avail of the bundle with a discount.
If you’re thinking that there’s something suspiciously missing from that list, your thoughts are not far off. In the most baffling way, the game itself is not included in the bundle. That’s right. More than a hundred dollars will fly out of your poor wallet and none of it will secure you the copy of the damn game. But hey, you’ve got a 14-inch statue to brag about. That counts for something, right?
There is another option, however. A Deluxe Edition of the Exclusive Collector’s Edition is also available on Amazon, offering even more goodies, like themed weapons and vehicles. And yes, it now contains the base game. This bundle is available for a whopping $209.99, so be ready to sacrifice your piggy banks. Amazon Prime members, again, have the chance to lower the price. Owners of the Deluxe Edition also have the opportunity to play the game 3 days before its launch, a perk similarly enjoyed by EA and Origin Access subscribers.
